Jamey: Whenever I feel stressed, I do a 10 minute workout. I run in place, do situps, pullups, pushups, etc. For me, stress manifests physically—I can feel the tightness in my jaw, the pressure on my chest. So by getting my heart rate up for a few minutes, I’m able to relieve my body of that stress, and in doing so, my head clears and I’m able to focus again.

Juma: Which book influenced your personal development the most and how?

Jamey: It’s really hard to narrow it down to one, but I’ll mention “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek. It helped me—and continue to help me—ask myself why I do what I do (on a micro and a macro level), especially at times when that path isn’t as clear as I’d like or when I don’t feel like I’m being the best version of myself.

Juma: If a younger relative remembered you in couple of decades: how would you like to be remembered? Which three adjectives would you hope this relative would use to describe you?

Jamey: Playful, kind, and clever. I’d like to be remembered as someone who added value to others.

Thank you, Jamey!
