New Year, New Things!

🎄Holiday Update & Real-World Impact🎄

Dear Reader,

Last month, we invited you to vote on three charities to whom we would donate a total of €10,000. We want to thank everyone who participated in our charity vote – 1,300 of you took part!

Christmas is a time to think about love – not only for those closest to us, but also beyond our immediate circles. We’re deeply grateful that we can follow our dream of making board games, support our families, and help highly effective charities along the way.

Here are the final results:

The €10,000 donation has been distributed proportionally according to these results.

To put this into perspective, according to GiveWell, Helen Keller International’s vitamin A supplementation program costs roughly:

  • ~$2 to provide vitamin A supplements to one child for an entire year
  • ~$3,500 per life saved, on average

That means this donation will contribute to preventing severe illness, blindness, and saving lives – in a very direct and measurable way.

Additionally, with your support over the last year, we were able to contribute more than €10,000 to specific charities bringing our total donations to €20,438.

effectiv-spenden works at maximizing our impact by allocating donations to areas that are particularly large, neglected, solvable, and urgent.

Thank you for turning a successful game campaign into real-world impact ❤️
